Appointments

IN SERIOUS EMERGENCIES, DIAL 999 FOR AN AMBULANCE

Appointments can be made by telephone on:   0345 337 6201 or by calling into the practice in person.  Appointments are available Monday to Friday, morning and afternoon.  Routine appointments are 10 minutes.

Please limit the number of problems you bring to each appointment - the more you bring, the less time the doctor has to deal with each problem.

If you have a complex problem or several issues you wish to discuss please ask for a double appointment.

If you are unable to attend an appointment for any reason please phone and let the practice know as soon as possible so that someone else can use the appointment.

More information on consulting times is available; please contact the practice for more details.

If you have not been seen at the practice for three years (or one year for those over 75) you can request a check up appointment if you wish.

In keeping with Government guidelines we have an appointment system that allows access to a doctor or nurse within 48hrs. This may not necessarily be a face to face appointment but given in the form of telephone advice when appropriate.  However, we aim to see anyone the same day where this is medically necessary.

Emergency Appointments

Medical emergency appointments are available every working day.  If you need an emergency appointment you will be seen as soon as possible on that day.  Please note that the receptionists may have to ask some questions to ensure you are seen by the correct person.

Smear Appointments

Smear appointments can be booked online through Vision-online-Services (ask staff for details) or by telephoning the practice on 0345 337 6201.

Home Visits

If possible please try to telephone before 10am.  A doctor or a Practice Nurse may phone you back as your problem may be dealt with by telephone advice, or it might be more appropriate to send a District Nurse or arrange a hospital attendance if this is felt necessary.  House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness.
