NHS Grampian Staff Equalities Network

It's ok to talk about race was produced as a training aid for all NHS Grampian staff on the difficult topic of racism. Our people, like every organisation across the UK, sadly encounter racism at work and in their wider lives. That simply isn't right. We ALL have a duty to stand up to racism and call it out wherever we encounter it.

As Adam Coldwells, our Deputy Chief Executive, says in the intro to the video, NHS Grampian will stand shoulder to shoulder with you in doing so and take robust action where it occurs. This film features the brave and frank experiences of three of our colleagues - Sneh, Sesi and Bianca - but we know there are more.

"In Conversation with..." NHS Grampian Chief Executive, Caroline Hiscox is joined by Sneh Banik, Consultant at ARI and NHS Grampian diversity champion, where they discuss the hugely detrimental effects of racism and the challenges it poses us as a healthcare organisation.

Featured on STV - NHS launches campaign to tackle racism against staff. Figures suggest more than three quarters of NHS staff across Scotland have experienced some form of racism.
