Aboyne Hospital
Aboyne Hospital is attached to the Aboyne Health Centre which combines the GP Surgery, the Community Nursing Teams and several out patients clinics.
The hospital was originally opened in 1898 when there was a shortage of hospital beds in the Deeside area. The hospital has undergone a major refurbishment in recent years.

The General Ward in the hospital provides inpatient beds for medical care, rehabilitation, assessment and palliative care. In addition there is a Birthing Unit on-site operated by the local Community Midwifery team The hospital is also well supported by an active 'Friends of Aboyne Hospital' group. The accommodation at Aboyne Hospital is all en-suite. The patients have the use of a large day room and a smaller sitting room.
