Event details and programme (pdf)
This session will launch "Speak up Week 2024" and celebrate one year of committing to be an antiracist organisation and to update on our progress. We are also keen to explore what our workforce needs to feel safe and confident to ‘speak up’ when things aren’t right, (regardless of what it is, i.e. bullying, discrimination, racism, public interest/safety/whistleblowing) and what staff need to enable them to listen well and play their part in creating a culture of 'listen up'.

Forthcoming Events
October 2024 will be a big month for important events, information and some new activities going on in and around NHS Grampian. This October we are pulling together a special programme of events and activities (the programme is available to download as a pdf) to spotlight three very important calendar events which have an intrinsic connection and collectively have a big impact.
Speak Up Week 2024
30th September – 4th October is Speak Up Week. This will be NHS Grampian’s third year of marking and promoting, and we can’t wait to share another week of celebration and conversation as we explore how we support the growth of a healthy and sustainable speak up culture across the NHS in Scotland. Together, we want to drive change that enables more people to speak up to prevent risks of harm. You can visit the INWO website to find out more and there's also information available on our website.
Black History Month 2024
Throughout the month of October, NHS Grampian will be marking Black History Month, and recognising this year's theme, “Reclaiming Narratives,” marks a significant shift towards recognising and correcting the narratives of Black history and culture. By emphasising this theme, we shine a brighter light on stories, allegories, and histories that underscore our commitment to correcting historical inaccuracies and showcasing the untold success stories and the full complexity of Black heritage. You can visit the Black History Month website for further information.
National Hate Crime Awareness Week 2024
National Hate Crime Awareness Week is a week of action, and this year will take place from 12th – 19th October. The week encourages authorities, key partners and communities affected by hate crime to work together to tackle local hate crime across the UK. You can visit the National Hate Crime Awareness Week website for further information.
