Events taking place in Moray

Monday November 25th: Reclaim the Night Candlelight March - Gather 17:30, March 18:00 – St Giles Church, Plainstones, High Street Elgin. Please bring candles or torches for this march demanding an end to sexual violence. There will be stalls and speeches in St Giles after a march through Cooper Park. No need to register. All welcome – fully inclusive & male allies encouraged.

Thursday November 28th: Webinar – “Engaging with Young People around Online Misogyny” 2-4pm REGISTER HERE to explore approaches to understanding and addressing the risks of online misogyny and abuse for young people in Scotland.

Tuesday December 3rd: Webinar – “Women's Political Representation” 10am-12pm REGISTER HERE to explore the barriers to political participation and representation for women and girls, and how this is related to tackling violence and abuse.

Wednesday December 4th: Webinar – “Children's Voices in Court Processes” 12-2pm REGISTER HERE to explore the link between embedding children’s rights and tackling VAWG in Scotland, particularly in the context of court process and justice responses.

Thursday December 5th: Webinar: “Honour-Based Abuse” 2-4pm REGISTER HERE to explore the current work to raise awareness and improve responses to so-called ‘Honour’-based abuse for women and girls in Scotland.

Tuesday December 10th: Webinar: “Facilitating Disclosures of Selling or Exchanging Sex” 9.30am-1pm REGISTER YOUR INTEREST HERE to improve your skills and confidence when managing disclosures of selling or exchanging sex as a frontline practitioner.
