Staff Equalities Network

We are delighted to invite our staff and our partners to the ‘Staff Equality Network’.  Meetings currently take place at 2 pm on the third Wednesday of each month, with additional meetings taking place where required.

The Equalities Network is open to all, regardless of job role, band or pay scale, and people will be asked to leave their ID card and badge at the (metaphoric) door when you join the meeting.

The ethos around this group will be to encourage and support

  • Honest and constructive conversations between all participants
  • Mutual and reciprocal learning, respect and understanding of the issues faced by people
  • Identify and action positive change that will help to ensure that people have more good days at work.
  • Encouraging positive relationships in the workplace
  • Policy initiatives vs culture and relationships
  • Emphasis on invitation and welcome
  • Focus on collaboration and working towards a common goal
  • Celebrating our diverse workforce and recognising that staff are our greatest asset

While we will aim to work towards important goals that will meaningfully improve people’s experiences, we want the meetings to feel informal and want people to feel comfortable to contribute and share their views about the issues being discussed.

Due to working from home, meetings are currently held on Teams.
