Each Local Authority and Health Board must prepare and publish a joint Local Child Poverty Action Report (LCPAR) each year setting out what they have done to tackle child poverty and what we intend to do in the year ahead.

Helping families to provide the essential things that they need to have a good standard of living requires a multi-agency approach and we have strong relationships and shared values across our Community Planning Partnerships that enable this.

The complex origins of poverty require us to be creative in our response and this presents us with opportunities to work in innovative ways with voluntary sector colleagues, and most importantly, with communities too. We continue to explore opportunities within our organisation to support our staff, many of whom may be experiencing the impacts of poverty in their own lives. We want them to feel supported and secure, and to know where to turn to for help. We also want them to be well equipped to identify and respond appropriately to those in their care who are experiencing poverty.
