Round Up - November 2024

Round Up – November 2024 - North East Place & Wellbeing Network

As this will be our last North East Place and Wellbeing Network for the year, why not set your teams background to a winter festive nature-based theme for the meeting next Tuesday. With the wintery weather this week, there are bound to be some snowy local pictures to share!

Our next North East Place and Wellbeing Network is Tuesday 26th November via MS Teams. Please add this to your own calendar and take a note of the teams link to access the meeting from below:

Proposed Agenda –

  1. A ‘Sense of Place’ - We will be introducing Sarah Eggleton, Community Engagement Officer, for The National Trust for Scotland.

Sarah has been in post since January, based at Fyvie Castle, working on a project called ‘Engaging Communities’.

This project aims to tap into the unique ‘sense of place’ that our NTS properties hold, connecting people and heritage, removing barriers to access, and delivering projects that produce significant benefits for people and communities.

Three prominent strands for future community engagement activity have emerged at Fyvie:

Access & Inclusion
Skills Development
Wellbeing

Focusing on Wellbeing, Sarah will be talking about her findings from community consultation, the activities piloted through the project so far, and the work NTS intend to continue in this area.
