Alcohol Advice
Drinking alcohol before surgery is taking a major risk. For your safety and well-being, it is best to avoid alcohol for at least 48 hours before your scheduled surgery. Alcohol consumption can lead to serious complications both during and after the procedure. It can lead to a longer hospital stay and a longer overall recovery time.
There is a range of support services across Grampian that provides free and confidential support and advice for individuals, families and friends who are affected by alcohol use.
