Getting FIT for Surgery
Before your surgery it is beneficial to try and make yourself more active, even small changes to your levels of physical activity can be beneficial. If you do not know where to start or feel daunted by the prospect of exercise, start by making little changes such as taking the stairs or getting off the bus a stop earlier. Walking is a good way to help with your recovery. A step counter or an app on your mobile phone can help encourage you. We would advise anyone not used to exercise to start slowly and build it up as they feel able.
