The role of the surgical dietitian is to offer support, both before & after surgery, with aspects of nutrition to help people undergoing surgery to improve or maintain their nutritional status.  

Surgical dietitians have a special interest & expertise in the role of nutrition related to surgical procedures. 

Some people may have specific concerns regarding their diet related to surgery or may have special dietary requirements. In such cases, advice & guidance will be provided by the surgical team dietitians, during your hospital stay.
