Occupational Therapy
After your surgery you will be expected to dress in your clothes as you recover and to move around as much as you can. You will be assisted to do this if you normally require this level of assistance at home.
Please ensure you have someone who can do your washing for you and that you bring several changes of clothes with you which are easy to put on. If you have difficulties dressing after your surgery, then ask to speak to an occupational therapist.
If you are having difficulty with day-to-day activities such as:
- Dressing after your surgery
- Eating and drinking
- Getting in / out of a bed
- Getting on / off the toilet
- Getting in / out of a chair
Please speak to the ward staff who will refer you to an occupational therapist.
