NHS Grampian Dental Services

From 1st November 2020, the Scottish Government are moving to phase 4 of the NHS Dental Remobilisation Plan. This means that NHS dental practices will be able to provide the full range of NHS treatments to all patients in need of both urgent and non-urgent care. Normal treatment costs will now apply, unless patients are exempt for paying for treatment.
It is important to be aware that dental practices will require time to fully adapt to this new level of remobilising. It is also recognised that while NHS patients can now receive the full range of NHS treatments, it is not a return to business as usual. Due to the current constraints, patient appointments will remain lower than normal and dental teams will have to continue to prioritise patients based on oral health needs.
If you have a dental problem, you should in the first instance always contact your dental practice by telephone.
If you are required to attend for an appointment, please remember that there will likely be a different layout within your practice. Each dental practice will have an approach to physical distancing that is appropriate to its own premises. This information will be provided to you should you require an appointment.
Outside normal working hours, if feel you have an URGENT dental need, please contact NHS 24 on 111.
If you are not registered with a dental practice, please contact the Dental Information & Advice Line (DIAL) on 0345 45 65 990 between 8.05am and 6pm or 111 out with those times.
More information on dental services at this time is available on the NHS Inform website.
