As part of contingency planning for the delivery of the COVID-19 vaccination programme in Moray, as from Monday 22nd February the Forres clinic will relocate to the larger venue of the Forres Town Hall.

The clinic which will operate from 10am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, to provide greater flexibility in the delivery of the programme.

The switch from Mosset Park follows a review of programme venues. A spokesperson for NHS Grampian thanked everyone at Forres Mechanics for their tremendous support in providing the facility which has been used successfully as a vaccination clinic since the start of February.

“We know this move will be disappointing for everyone at Forres Mechanics and it is certainly no reflection on the support we have received from the chairman and the Board who have gone above and beyond to assist us,” said the spokesperson.

“This is a mass vaccination programme aiming to vaccinate every adult in Grampian and designed to protect as many people in the north-east of Scotland as possible, as quickly as possible.

“We know that people are eager to get vaccinated and we would like to thank everyone for their patience as we work our way through the priority vaccination groups.”

Appointment letters are being sent out via the National Service Now system. Please do not contact your GP or the NHS for a vaccine; you will receive a letter when it is your turn.
