Grampian Hospital Radio has been shortlisted for five awards at this years Hospital Broadcasting Association Awards

Nominations were announced online on Monday 13th January with the winners being announced at the Hospital Broadcasting Association conference and awards dinner on 5th April in Hinckley, Leicestershire.

Presenter and Vice Chairman John Graham has been nominated in the ‘Best Speech Package’ & ‘Best Male Presenter’ categories said “it is a great honour to be nominated in this year's National Hospital Broadcasting Awards. In the programmes we broadcast and produce we aim to bring some joy and connection with our listeners and I am delighted the judges see that in all our nominations”

Presenter of The Feel Good Factor Craig Duthie has been nominated in the Best Newcomer Category said he is “shocked and honoured at the same time to be nominated for the 'Best Newcomer' award. I absolutely love being part of the GHR Team and the smiles that all of our shows bring to the listeners and good luck to all other individuals and stations nominated in this year's awards”

Chairman Neil Fraser’s Backstage show has been nominated in the best specialist show category and in the special event category we have been nominated for our live links into the station from the Celebrate Aberdeen Parade in 2024 allowing listeners to hear the atmosphere on the day.

Neil said: “I’m delighted that Grampian Hospital Radio has been shortlisted for five Hospital Broadcasting Awards! It’s a fantastic achievement for all volunteers at the station and I’m really proud that we continue to broadcast and produce quality content for the patients of NHS Grampian and further afield via our app and website”.
