- Andrology Laboratory established (1985)
- First Donor Insemination Pregnancy (1986)
- Assisted Reproduction Unit established (1989) now known as Aberdeen Fertility Centre
- First IVF Pregnancy resulting in a live birth (1989)
- First Egg donation Pregnancy (1991)
- First Frozen Embryo Transfer Pregnancy resulting in a live birth (1992)
- First Scottish baby following egg donation (1993)
- First ICSI Pregnancy resulting in Live Birth (1994)
- Egg Freezing Research programme (1995)
- First frozen egg fertilisation (1995)
- First embryo biopsies for pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (1995)
- First baby in Scotland after surgical sperm retrieval (1996)
- First ISO 9001 certified Unit in Scotland (2004)
- First Andrology service to achieve ISO 15189:2012 for Diagnostic Semen Analysis (2015)
- Implementation of an electronic patient record system (2021)
- Attainment of accreditation by ESHRE for sub specialty training (2022)
