Burnside House

Burnside House is located on the Foresterhil Health Campus in Aberdeen.

Please note that parking at Burnside House is very restricted.  Parking is available in the Lady Helen Parking Centre (multi-storey car park) and a shuttle bus can take you from the ARI Main Concourse to Burnside House if required (by making a request at the ARI Main Concourse Reception). There are a limited number of disabled parking spaces available outside Burnside House.

Services offered

General Dermatology Clinic

Patients are seen in the clinic following GP referral with a range of inflammatory conditions affecting, skin, hair and nails including eczema, psoriasis, and urticaria. Clinics are held throughout the week by our team of dermatology consultants, specialist trainees and specialist nurses.

Lesion Clinic

Patients are seen in clinic following a GP referral with skin lumps, bumps and suspected skin cancer.

Clinics are held throughout the week by our team of Dermatology consultants, specialist trainees and specialist nurses. On some days there may be multiple clinics held at the same time meaning the clinic can be busy. There are a small number of theatre slots available on the day alongside some of the lesion clinics and some patients may be offered treatment on the day.

Theatre

Small procedures are carried out in Burnside House under local anaesthetic:

  • Skin Biopsy
  • Excision
  • Curettage
  • Shave Excision
  • After your Biopsy

Day Treatment

Simple wound dressings, complex leg ulcer dressings, post-surgical wound checks and suture removal.
