General Information
Background
The Managed Clinical Network was set up in early 2006 by the North of Scotland planning group to develop a network for Tayside, Grampian, Highland (including Argyll & Bute), Orkney, Shetland and the Western Isles.
The draft aims of the MCN are to
- Effectively and actively manage network activities
- Deliver evidence based services through the implementation of guidelines
- Improve patient care in terms of quality, access and experience
- Implement a quality assurance programme
- Involve patients/carers in service development
- Develop and implement effective clinical and information management systems
- Develop opportunities for training and supervision
- Support research and continuing professional development
A Steering Group has been established and has developed a Project Plan for the Managed Clinical Network
