Improving Quality
Clinical Governance is the process whereby NHS organisations are accountable for the quality of care that they provide. Managed Clinical Networks have an important role in promoting improving quality and this will involve linking with other health authority clinical governance structures.
NHS Quality Improvement Scotland (QIS) in November 2006 published a document entitled Eating Disorders in Scotland - recommendations for management and treatment and a version for patients and carers will be published in 2007.
The Managed Clinical Network will promote the implementation of these guidelines throughout the North of Scotland.
