Services Available at Practice
All GP practices are contracted to provide essential services, that is, basic treatment of ill people.
We also provide the following additional services:

- Child Health Surveillance, together with the Health Visitor.
- Contraceptive services.
- Maternity services in the antenatal and postnatal period, together with the midwives from Aberdeen Maternity Hospital.
- Routine immunisation of children, together with the Health Visitor.
- Cervical smears.
- Freezing of warts and other small skin lesions.
- Vaccinations and Immunisations.
We also hold contracts with NHS Grampian for the following Enhanced Services:
- Annual flu immunisation programme to protect elderly and at risk people.
- Regular monitoring, by blood and urine tests, for patients on a range of drugs for arthritis and bowel problem
- Regular monitoring by blood tests for patients on Warfarin.
- Drugs misuse programme for patients with drug abuse problems, in conjunction with the Substance Misuse Service.
- Minor surgery.
- Annual comprehensive review for patients with diabetes.

Clinics
- The Nurse Practitioner runs a minor illness clinic Monday to Friday.
- The pharmacist holds a weekly hypertension clinic.
- Diabetes clinic is held regularly.
- Appointments for chronic disease reviews are also available. If this affects you, you will receive a letter regarding this.
