What is Public Involvement?
There is a statutory requirement for all NHS Scotland Boards to involve people in designing, developing and delivering healthcare services as detailed in this guidance: Planning with People, Community Engagement and Participation guidance
Evolving through involving
Creating inclusive health services for all. To find out more about what we do please watch the following videos:
Why we do it?
The following video explains why we work in partnership:
When we do it?
As soon as a need to change a service is realised. This means service delivery options can be explored together before any decisions are made.
Who do we engage with?
- We engage with everyone. Anyone who has an interest in NHS Grampian services and anyone that is affected by any service change.
- An example stakeholder analysis (docx) can be seen but remember to consider all groups and individuals whether that is from existing community groups, political interest or seldom heard groups.
In return for your time and input you can expect to:
- Help make a difference to NHS Grampian services
- Influence and inform service planning
- Ensure services are designed in collaboration with people, for people
- Keep up to date with local and national health issues
- Develop new skills and confidence
- Widen your network and meet new people
