In 2024, the Grampian Engagement Network (GEN) and Aberdeen City Community Empowerment Group (CEG) developed a partnership approach to bring a series of spotlight sessions to showcase great practice in Grampian.

Through these Sessions’ in 2024 we have covered:

• Spotlight – Community Paradigm Session
• The Radical Potential of Participatory Budgeting

And we finished of the final session in our series on 1^st December with The Innovative Practice of Participatory Research, welcoming the following guest speakers:

• Participatory action research
  Andrew Paterson, Policy and Research Officer, SCDC 

• An introduction to participatory action research
  Leila Neshat Mokadem, Doctoral Researcher, Robert Gordon University
  Resources: Let’s go camping! A journey across CBPR - Presentation

• Banchory: Empowering the community in its planning for future health and wellbeing
  Dawn Tuckwood, Advanced Public Health Coordinator, Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership
