Where to find us
NHS Grampian Archives are located within the University of Aberdeen's Collections Centre in the Sir Duncan Rice Library on the Old Aberdeen campus.
Our opening hours are:
Monday - Friday: 10am - 4pm via appointment only
No bookings will be available between Friday 20th December 2024 and Wednesday 8th January 2025 inclusive
For up to date information on any closures, or days where there is no access to the collections please email gram.archives@nhs.scot and you will receive an automatic reply. Please note that NHS Grampian Archives does not hold or have access to current medical records - please email gram.infogovernance@nhs.scot for further information.
The collections are viewed in the Research Room, on the Lower Ground Floor, which requires a University of Aberdeen Library Access Pass, if you do not already have access to the Library. This needs to be organised in advance of your visit, and is arranged via email and with the University of Aberdeen. For more information, please contact gram.archives@nhs.scot
Please note that the Archivist is not always on site, so it is strongly advised to get in touch before any visit to avoid disappointment.
You can view the catalogue online at https://calm.abdn.ac.uk/archives using the 'Advanced Search' option and selecting 'GB 1105 NHS Grampian Archives' from the drop down menu. You can then email gram.archives@nhs.scot to arrange a visit, or with any queries you may have. Some online indexes are also available.
