Rewards & Recognition

At NHS Grampian, we recognise and value our nursing, midwifery and allied health professional (NMAHP) workforce. Their dedication, compassion, and expertise make a profound difference in the lives of our patients, families, and communities every day. To show our appreciation, we have developed a comprehensive Rewards & Recognition Programme that celebrates the outstanding contributions of our NMAHP staff. 

Ways We Celebrate Our NMAHPs 

  • STAR Award – designed to recognise both individual and team achievements from across all roles in NHS Grampian. Find out more here (NHS Grampian networked devices only). 
  • DAISY Award – in partnership with the DAISY Foundation, this is an opportunity for patients and their loved ones to nominate an extraordinary nurse or midwife who’s compassionate contributions go above and beyond expectations. Find out more here. 
  • Executive Nurse Director Award – awarded by the Executive Director of Nursing, with those NMAHPs who share their work at our Celebrating Excellence Days being considered for this award. Look out for information in the Daily Brief. 
  • Inspiring NMAHPs – An annual award open to all NMAHPs who are nominated by colleagues, for their inspiring contribution in line with the NMAHP professional practice model. Nominations currently closed and will open again in September / October. Look out for information in the Daily Brief. 

Long Service & Career Milestones
