Aberdeenshire Conversation Cafe

The first conversation café took place in May 2014 at Maud Resource Centre in support of National Mental Health week. It was based on a concept about creating the right atmosphere and non-judgemental setting for local people to come together and discuss issues that were important to them and their community, this could be a geographic community or community of interest.

What is a Conversation Cafe?

Cafes are open to the general public to drop by for a free cuppa, a cake and a good blether! Occasional guest speakers, outings and activities.

Cafes are free, friendly and bring people together to listen, talk and provide support, including access to a broad range of community opportunities, activities and wellbeing support in the community.
