Chest Pain

 

Chest pain is one of the most common symptoms you can get after having COVID. If you do have chest pains, it is important to get medical advice to find out if it could lead to a serious heart or lung problem. Chest pain can be concerning, please see NHS Inform for up to date information for when to seek immediate medical help.

 

Please call 999 if you are someone else are experiencing any of the following:

 

  • central chest pain or discomfort in the chest that doesn’t go away – it may feel like pressure, tightness or squeezing
  • pain that radiates down the left arm, or both arms, or to the neck, jaw, back or stomach
  • unconsciousness
  • seizures or fitting
  • difficulty breathing (snoring or rasping)
  • rapid heart beat
  • low or undetectable heart beat
  • chest pain and breathlessness, nausea, sweating or coughing up blood
