Commitment to Culture

Have you heard about NHS Grampian’s Commitment to Culture?

This resource has been developed to help colleagues explore what good culture looks like in their teams and in their work groups and is currently being tested across Grampian.

The resource also references our common core aim and commitment to each other that we will display behaviours which help each other to thrive and be safe and well through work.

We all have a role to play in making it a consistent standard of behaviour in our organisation, in terms of how we treat and support each other. What will be your contribution to this shared commitment today?

Access the Commitment to Culture pack (intranet link) to explore the resources and start your local culture conversation. Let us know what you think about the pack by completing this feedback form.

Values Based Reflective Practice (VBRP®)

Values Based Reflective Practice VBRP® is a structured method, which provides an intentional way of reflecting on past practice, in the present, in order to improve practice in the future. It provides a language and tools to support reflection.

Reflective practice can enable you to move from a place of habit (always doing what you have always done) into a place of wisdom (responding creatively and sensitively to each individual situation).

The VBRP® model encourages us to explore our values, attitudes and behaviours.

VBRP® can be practiced both individually and in a group facilitated by a qualified VBRP® facilitator.

To find out more please watch the VBRP® Marketplace videoview the VBRP® web page or contact gram.VBRP@nhs.scot to book a taster session.

Trauma Risk Management (TRiM)

TRiM is an evidence based peer support programme which began within the British military and has been adapted for use within the NHS. It is designed to assist staff who have experienced a traumatic event to deal with it effectively. In the majority of cases TRiM is requested by a manager who recognises that an individual and / or a team have been exposed to a psychologically traumatic event, this can be at work or at home. A TRiM briefing is delivered by colleagues within the organisation to individuals and teams, with trained personnel.

To find out more please watch the Trim Marketplace video. This support can be requested by individuals themselves or managers can suggest that staff access this via the following e-mail address: gram.trim@nhs.scot
