Following Cabinet Secretary Humza Yousaf’s statement in Parliament regarding maternity services in the north of Scotland, John Tomlinson, Interim Chair of NHS Grampian said: "We thank Mr Yousaf for the clarity provided today, which sets the future direction for maternity services in Moray, Grampian and the North of Scotland more broadly, and the announcement of additional investment in Dr Gray's Hospital. "We will work in partnership with the Scottish Government, NHS Highland, our staff, and the communities that we serve to make progress with these recommendations on a phased basis. "Our priority remains the delivery of safe and sustainable maternity services and we share the Health Secretary’s commitment to ensuring expectant mothers receive the best possible care."
North East Scotland Mobile Breast Screening Unit - Peterhead 2022

The North East Scotland Mobile Breast Screening Service will commence screening in Peterhead on Thursday 17th February 2022 for approximately 8 weeks. The Mobile Units will be sited in the Asda Car Park, Longside Road, Peterhead, AB42 2FY.

Avian influenza – advice to the public

A record number of cases of avian influenza (or ‘bird flu’ as it’s commonly known) have been confirmed across England, Scotland, and Wales in wild and captive birds this winter. While avian influenza is not uncommon in winter and the risk to human health from infected birds is very low, a human case of avian ‘flu was confirmed in England earlier this month. As such, the public are advised not to touch sick or dead birds.
