NHS Heroes welcome first batch of Brewdog Hand Sanitiser

NHS staff in Aberdeen have welcomed the first delivery of medical standard hand sanitiser from BrewDog. The brewing company, based in the North East, has turned its focus to producing so-called 'BrewDog Sanitiser' at its distillery in Aberdeenshire to distribute for free amid shortages driven by the coronavirus pandemic.

This morning we welcomed The Cabinet Secretary for Health, Ms Jeane Freeman to Dr Gray's Hospital in Elgin. Ms Freeman met with senior members of the Board as well as Maternity, Anaesthetics staff and Keep Mum to discuss maternity services at the hospital. She offered helpful support and appropriate challenge whilst acknowledging there are still difficulties ahead.
£1.7M earmarked for investment in Dr Gray's Hospital

Patients in Moray - and beyond - are set to see significant improvements at Dr Gray's Hospital in Elgin, following board approval of an ambitious programme of works. Investment will be targeted towards the maternity and renal units, and Ward 7 at the hospital, which marked its 200th anniversary last year.

Work to deliver the new £223.6million Baird Family Hospital and ANCHOR Centre in Aberdeen has taken a further major step forward. The NHS Grampian Board has approved for submission to the Scottish Government Capital Investment Group the Full Business Case for investment in The Baird Family Hospital and ANCHOR Centre on the Foresterhill Health Campus.
